Grower / Crop Manager Position at Muddy Feet Flower Farm (Eastern CT)

Muddy Feet Flower Farm — Connecticut’s premiere farmer-florist — is looking for a part-time Grower/Crop Manager to lead the farming side of our business. After over a decade of growing flowers and boys on the farm I’m shifting my focus more toward floral design + landscaping and need a partner to help carry the growing season forward.
🌱 We practice organic, mostly no-till, regenerative farming
📍 Located in Eastern Connecticut (30 min from Hartford, near UConn/Storrs + RI/MA borders)
🗓 Season runs April–December
⏰ 20–25 hrs/week
📅 Starts Mid-March 15, 2026
💰 Salaried position starting at $16K ($20+/hr) commensurate with experience
Responsibilities include:
🌿 crop planning + seeding schedules
🌿 greenhouse + field planting
🌿 transplanting + plant care
🌿 compost tea / KNF fertilizer
🌿 weeding, watering, fertilizing
🌿 harvesting + conditioning blooms
✨ Ideal candidate is a self-starter, has farm or gardening experience, reliable transportation, and a flexible schedule.
